put it this way, i find American football rather interesting. this is the first team sport where there are "two teams" playing for the same team, like the defence team and the offense team. the offence team is lead by the quaterback(wat a nice term), while the defence team is led by the safety(weird). there are also subsidary teams like the kicking an punting team. it is also the first team sport where each player has a specific role...like all the kicker has to do is to kick the ball wth, and nothing else.
the nfl season is starting, and im rooting for the New England patriots again, with Tom Brady leading the team, they should end up with the Superbowl, and of course, they have Randy Moss:D

Some people outside say RJ is a damn nice place to go to, cos RJ makes one sounds damn pro. But if anyone...i mean anyone, were to come into RJ and see how the people are, it would make them think again.
im being serious here, i guess RJ is the only school in Singapore where people actually backstab one another (well...maybe ac as well), and people make friends so as to benefit themselves. Ya people say the RJ culture is very good, it forces one to study...and you just got no choice.
But a culture where friendship don't exist just doesnt make sense. How on earth do you go about studying peacefully when a part of your brain just think about...what other people are saying about you?
given a choice, maybe RJ wouldnt be a choice at all...a life in which we just study and get beautiful testimonials just pointless, why not go out and enjoy the people and things around you, instead of doing everything for the sake of that testimonial (which i dont care a hoot)

so what if the culture is good?? i would say the friends are more important

lol...i KOed during econs tutorial today...just felt damn tired, so i was the 3rd in class to KO after merv n borray (no offense, KOing feels good)

how on earth to girls keep their concentration span up for so long, mine lasts barely 90 mins, cos the only time i EVeR pay attention is watching soccer lol. Liverpool made it through with a wonder strike haha:D

sometimes..i dunno why but i just simply miss RI, esp 2dae aft spending time w/ yuanzi n kenny, the camaradrie dat existed then simply could not be replicated now...where cliques simply didnt exist in 4A, and people just hung out and talked to one another freely...

Nah, felt extermely basketry 2dae (dunno wat it means), but its now starting to rain outside, just for 1 second i thought it would be a thunderstorm, but it turns out no more den a bloody drizzile(for the 2nd thought it just got heavier). Anyhow, i tink i got to tone down my nonsense in class now, teachers are getting kinda sick of it i guess><. its not a really difficult task to keep shut i tink, its just not in my nature dats all.

I guess im spending a lot more time studying as comapred to the last 4 years, maybe im just getting fearful of the A levels subconsciously, and just started to pay attention in lessons more often.

Fuck it, I know i played damn bad on saturday at the testimonial match, and probably screwed my place in the squad, now dunno drop to what choice already. Yes yes i noe e taped wrists and the white socks and boots seem rather poser to you people, but i can only say that that is my style and i dun intend to change it in the near future. Well, it has been a SUPER long time since i actually blogged on this site, well...we all know i am now in rj, and contrary to many people, im not exactly having the best of times here); I mean like, the dfferences in rj and ri are like manymanymany...., and for example, we can no longer anyhow swear in class, visit the toilet with ur eyes looking downwards (we now have to look at e gender signs before we enter><), and worst of all, we cant change in e classrooms! (ok there are no classrooms in rj anyway).

Soccer is super fun, well compared to npcc anyway, at least i can do what i like:D In the past I had to endure like 4 hours of bio, chem, n physics before doing stuffs like history><>

Well, what is exactly is football, American football, Australian Rules football, Association football??

football is supposed to play with the foot, just like handball is supposed to be played with the hand, basketball with the basket, floorball with the floor, and volleyball with the volley....

So, american football should be called american handball, since they like to throw the ball forward most of the time, with only the punter and the kicker using the foot, australian rule football called australian rugby instead, since they actually pass the ball using their hands backwards on an oval field. So, only association football can be called football, since it only involves the foot and the ball.

Sometimes it just makes me wonder, why do I put so much effort into the sciences when nothing actually pays off? Working so hard, late in to the early mornings and nothing comes out of it. it really makes me feel depressed, and now I am really confused on what to take in RJ next year, arts or half arts half sciences? i really do not know.

And now, there is the HMT O' Level on Monday to worry about now, I am really not sure on how to actually prepare for it. Is there a standard way of preparing for these funny papers where no words and terms are being tested, and only have all the compres adn compos??

F1 has just lost a legend, Schumi is gone from the sport, Raikkonen would take over, is he good? Only mclaren knows, and his cars always have engine blowups or tire failures, so I don't really expect Ferrari to do well next year:(

So I am out of NPCC now, soon to be out of RI, and we are also moving out to the new block soon. Admist all these hoo-ha, I must really sit down and think, whether have I lived this part of my life to the fullest, and whether I am a true Rafflesian.

I must say, our lives in RI is ending within a month, but I believe many of us can still remember the mud in Sarimbun, the night walk, as well as the campfire, where I can still remember as class 1A, we performed the caterpillar dance with fun and laughter. If I could live it again, I would gladly do it, and make a better life.

So many goodbyes to say nowadays...firstly Fahd is leaving for the US, then now we learnt that we will moving to the new block soon, and we have to say goodbye to C3-18, our classroom, as well as the dear senior block, which we have been studying at for 2 years. I don't know why, but I am really feeling a little nostalgic now, maybe I didn't really appreciated the classroom, but it really saddens me that all these would now become a memory, only to be remembered, never to be seen again.

The classroom, the block, the long trips to the toilets, the days of going up 4 stories in the mornings in a sleepy mode, the days of ping pong in the class, the green and pink walls, will soon be all but a past, tomorrow I am really gonna look at C3-18 again, and really thank it for what it has given us over the 2 years...

Sometimes it makes me wonder, when one puts in the effort and very little or nothing comes out of it, how would you feel? We, as a group felt like crap, when we found out that we only got like 14/20 for our documentary, which is rather low, when you consider that we spent like close to 48 hours without sleeping just doing the editing, it really makes me fed up you know, why bother working so hard when you get such results. Also, my Bio gpa stands at an impressive 3.6, and yet Joy Lim still wants to see my parents. For What?? I really do not know. Maybe that I improved......Nah, thats a dream in the day, where got teacher meet parents to tell them their sons have improved):):

I think i can pass the Chinese prelims, I took close to 1hr 45mins to complete it, when Shawn took like 1hr 20mins. I really wonder how hard the O levels are, I mean, in RP, there are only hour long tests, I think i would probably fall asleep during one of those loooog exam papers.

What a day for me, firstly, some girl called cheryl from scgs (i duuno who she is) added me on friendster, so vice versa, I added her on msn:)

Went to Ubi to the magnets for the magship. The place was really far away from the main road, had to cut through some driving centre and then the bloody security guard told me that I cannot cut through and I had to walk one big round, I reached the place like a 'chicken in the soup' with sweat, and had to use some deo or else I would really stink on the bus:)

Next saturday is POP (passing out parade), which will probably be the last time I wear the uniform, and come to think of it, I think I have tried my best for the CCA, and I would be rather proud on that day, though I haven't worn the uniform this year yet, I think...

Went to Comex on Saturday, and on the way there, I realised that Singapore is really a tiny place.

Expo is in the east, and it took me less than an hour from Ang Mo Kio, which is essentially right at the centre of Singapore. Just imagine it, travelling from the central part of the country to the eastern end takes less than hour...

In the US, to travel from one end to another would need a plane ticket, and at least a couple of hours of flying to reach one's destination.

Omg lah, Singapore is really small, if we really get into a war, I think all the enemy has to do is to shoot rockets at us w/out sending troops in, we will already be demolished...

Anfield is 100 years old already, that is 6.25 times older than me, which is actually quite a lot, when I am only older than my brother by 2.5 years, not times. I went to adidas on Friday, and I saw the price of a Liverpool jersey, it was S$109.

I began to think about something else, what is the difference between supporting a club like Liverpool, and a club like lets say...Woodlands Wellington?

Both are football clubs, both are rather successful in their respective leagues, and both have foreign players. When I looked at the price of the Liverpool jersey, i found the answer. A Liverpool jersy cost $109, and a Woodlands Wellington jersey cost $39.90, and that is basically the only difference, other than the payroll and the size of the stadiums perhaps:)

A case of bad luck, England once again lose on penalties.

I still can't understand, how can Lampard and Gerrard miss? Both are penalties takers for their club, both have great shooting boots and can score. Maybe its a jinx, that England will never win any game on penalties, maybe even against Singapore, if we can draw against them:)

Back from Bangkok, bought a pair of Adidas Predator Absolado boots for only $67, quite a good deal, considering the price in Singapore is $99:) Its black/red/white, quite nice, and feels comfortable too.

Went to chalet with my cousins at NSRCC:)

It was nice there, had alot of fun, even going out at 1am to find cup noodles, only to come back with nothing, played pool, bbqed, an played bowling, with me hitting the 130 mark again:)

Had a camp on Monday and Tuesday, I had to travel to Pasir Ris Park as a the advance party, but didn;t know how to go from the MRT, had to ask xiaoxiang for directions, cos she lives in the east, and I don't. She also didn't know, so I took a cab there, and it cost $2.40, as it is just directly opposite the MRT!!!

Sad to say, I didn't sleep for both nights, and slept all the way home, till I missed the station and had to turn back

Today is a holiday, only for RI. I am stoning at home, don't no where to go, with my wallet rather empty, after spending quite some yesterday.

I agree with Zhiyang fully, I mean like npcc has some fucking officers in HQ who really give you attitudes, such that I never like HQ. I had been to Police Academy last year to do something, and I am really pissed off by the attitudes of some of the Cadet Inspectors and HOs there.
All of them think that they are some big shot, shouting commands and instructions. They expect us to follow them blindly, thinking that we are some dumbo, and worse still we can't question.

What is the Chinese syllabus up to now? Learning about National Education during Chinese is not what I definitely have in mind!!
Today Ivan's blog got shown to the class in front of Ms Tang, and she wasn't exactly happy, and if you read his blog, you would know why:)
I am still screwing up, not exactly improved that much academically as compared to last year, I think the only subject that really improved is my height and my maths
I think I am settling to the central midfield role I am holding now, though not so offensive as a striker that I used to be, I am able to get a few shots on target yesterday. I realised that my set pieces have improved, more speed and swerve, harder for the keeper to get, and my long passes have improved their accuracy.

U know how crap my physics is, luckily I didn't get the last in the level, or I wouldn't be blogging now. Ok, enough about that, my physics has never been good any way.
About the good side, I have broken my record for Chinese, getting above 60% for the first time since CT1 last year, good for me, and scored a respectable 60% in Biology, good for me as well.

Never mind all those, tonight is the Liverpool derby, Liverpool vs Everton, who will win?

The answer is obvious:) (I am a hardcore Liverpool fan)

xiao xiang was surprised that I liked Jay Chou, so let me tell you about his music.
His singing is fantistix, with a slight slur to his voice, I like that. Gui Ji sounds the best, I think, maybe because that is one of his few songs that I can really sing well:)
